Head Coachisaac marshman
Isaac Marshman is a Brisbane-based basketball skills trainer and the founder of Element Basketball - a performance-driven training environment designed to help players translate training into real game impact.
Known for his attention to detail, Coach Isaac delivers sessions that go beyond surface-level skill work. His coaching focuses on developing the skills required to play the game — and then challenging players to apply them through decision-making, problem-solving, and performing under pressure, not just executing drills.
But beyond performance, Isaac is deeply passionate about building something bigger than training — a community.
A place where players feel part of something.
Where they enjoy showing up, competing, and growing alongside others.
Where basketball becomes more than just improvement — it becomes connection, identity, and belonging.
Through Element Basketball, Isaac provides:
Individual skill development tailored to the athlete
Game-based group training sessions
Academy programs
Film analysis & performance breakdown
Goal setting and program planning
Junior and adult team pathways
Isaac’s coaching journey began at just 13 years old, driven by a deep curiosity to understand why performance happens — not just the outcome. While most watched games for entertainment, he studied them to break down decision-making, movement, and execution.
After coaching across school, club, and representative programs, a defining moment came in 2019 working alongside NBA skills coach Drew Hanlen in Brisbane. That experience highlighted a major gap in player development within Australian basketball.
Since then, Isaac has refined his approach across multiple high-level environments, ultimately creating Element Basketball to bridge that gap.
Today, Element Basketball is built on two pillars: high-level development and a strong, connected community — developing athletes at every stage, from beginners building confidence to players pursuing elite performance.
Isaac’s ultimate goal is simple: to leave the game better than he found it.
